Hello and welcome to the Heat Blog!!! My name is Leila and I’m 14 years old. I am one of the original members of Heat as well as on of the captains. Im currently in the 10th grade and I attend MetWest HighSchool.

Heat is really been a part of me since I was little.It all started when I was about 5 years old. I was a part of of a Pop Warner cheer team called the Berkeley Jr. Bears . There I met Kale and Ayanna (the owners of the studio) as well as they’re daughters. It took joining 4 different studios for them to finally open up one of their own. Finally a place to call home. A place where I could build relationships and a sisterhood with the people I love. We even throw parties there every once in a while. 
Now let’s talk dance.The style of dance I like the most would have to be majorette. That’s really what kind of dance I grew up doing and frankly it’s the most fun. I do train in all the the basic styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, horton, and hip hop. But majorette over rules them all.

I am very thankful to have a place like Heat where I can grow and get better and have peers and teachers that really care about me and my goals.
